Meet Kohen Allen, Centaur Primary School student. Kohen’s great-grandfather, Private Clifford Montgomery, George NX26613, was a member of the 2/12th Field Ambulance, and lost his life on AHS Centaur, aged just 23. Pte Montgomery came from the Northern Rivers district of NSW as does the school. How wonderful for Kohen to attend a school which is dedicated to remembering the service and sacrifice of his great grandfather and his shipmates. The photo shows Kohen in the school’s Remembrance Garden following commemorations on Remembrance Day. The photos within the photo are of the school’s patrons, three of whom came from the Tweed District.
